Die Linse - Table reservation

One of our foreign friends happened to be around for a seminar, so we took him out for dinner. No online tool worked to book a table, so we called and reserved. Wise thing to do even on a Wednesday evening. Krebsmühle is not too...easy to find, but the parking lot was full at this time even more probable since the upper parking is being closed for amendment. With the night being one of the so far few ones where you could enjoy sitting on their terrace with a view over Taunus, and with traffic although busy and close hardly audible, the terrace was full too, but our table awaited us. We were promptly greeted and shown to the table, food nice tapas, great whole fish, I loved my salad Linse and a craetion risotto and drinks fair choice of wine by the glass, selection on bottled and fresh beer are not on the cheap side but value for money. Service was stretched by so many visitors and several times confused who had ordered what at which table, but was kind at all times and waiting times were not excessive. The menu offers local and international, with an Indian touch, there are several vegetarian options prepared with great care and the choice of drinks alcoholic or not is amp,e and looks priced fairly. For wine by the glass and bottled water you get a glass of ice as theres don't seem to be enough coolers for bottles and how do you keep a glass of nice Riesling fresh with C at pm?. So, in a nutshell: a must know and don't come in droves so that we are still able to go without booking too much in advance

We booked a table for people on a Saturday evening in April, and thought that the place would be heaving sadly, this very nice restaurant does not seem to have enough custom there were only further tables taken. The use of fresh...ingredients, with a small, but varied menu are all good signs of this restaurant. A friendly and helpful service is also a big plus. Our party had various starters whilst they tasted very nice, the Vorspeisenteller for us the vegetarian version of this taster plate, felt, however, a bit overpriced at In particular we can recommend the vegetarian dishes. Three of our party had the Ayurveda lentil curry with rice a bit spicier than my personal preference, but otherwise very tasty; the menu listed spinach as one of the ingredients, but sadly it wasn't present in any of the three dishes at our table. The Wild Garlic pasta dish was simple, but delicious. The crepes in orange sauce were very nice, and the Rhabarberstrudel auf Erdbeercoulis mit PecannussEis was divine. Deserts are a bit more expensive at about and the vegetarian mains are at around portions are okay, considering that one gets fresh ingredients and a very fine cuisine. A restaurant worth travelling to. Meat and fish options also available, and by the appreciative noises of the omnivores of our party: all very delicious

We liked our first meal there so much that we decided to have our daughter's wedding reception there. The wedding reception was perfect and everyone had a great time. In the mean time we eat here regularly. The menu changes monthly. The food quality is...excellent and is always prepared with a unique and tasty twist. All of the staff is friendly and in a good mood. That is almost unheard of in Germany. The interior is not a typical restaurant style, but very pleasant

Die Karte ist nicht sehr groß, dafür wird alles selbst gemacht. Die wechselnde Karte ist immer wieder eine Überraschung, der Chefkoch ist richtig gut!Außerdem ist die Terrasse wunderschön, das in Kombination mit dem tollen Service macht ein gelungenes Essen gehen aus - immer wieder gerne.
