I made a short, lunchtime visit to Der Dicke Bub recently to finally check it out. I placed my order at the counter and then went to sit down on one of the stools for my hamburger and chips to be freshly prepared. I chose the chilliburger, the smaller, 140 g version with jalapenos, tomatoes, raw red onion rings, slices of gherkin and spicy Samurai sauce. This was impressive & delicious - I ate it with a knife and fork to avoid getting it all over my suit.I also had a small portion of the Belgian styled chips and a generous helping of Samurai sauce. These were nice but the owner did admit that he is still trying to perfect the frying methods here, adjusting to the difference between the typical way that Belgians would fry their chips with the expectations of a German clientele. I would prefer them to be less crunchy... I washed this down with a bottle of Fritz Spitz - bio grape juice (the non fermented variety) and mineral water.I enjoyed my experience here but I would encourage some management attention to a rather unpleasant smell coming from somewhere near the back of the rstaurant which put me off my meal...

Hello dear TA community,I was there a few months ago with my wife. had ordered two burgers, we had some special wishes, unfortunately these were very difficult to communicate, since none of the present German and only very broken English spoke.Everything in all, was the burger ok, but not to compare with the burger shops that just sprinkle out of the floor. so no more than a nice attempt...To info: I evaluate every restaurant within its class, i.e. a pommessbude with a top currywurst and pommes for 5,50 € can get 5 stars, while at a star restaurant there can also get 2 stars out. so no apples are compared with pears. Many fun at the next visit!Marcus

Here you can also get a good burger, tasty salad and very good pommes mt mayo or various sauces. good is also the drink selection: I recommend the büble bräu for the beetrinker, and who prefers softdrinks find a good selection of Fritz.About the fleischburger I can only report from the test, but different companions always expressed satisfaction about the good quality. In summer you can also sit outside, and only watch in a buble the driving in the footsteps. the personal is friendly and accommodating. The prices are slightly above the average, but the quality is good.

not only the standard burgers, but also weekly changing, to some quite creative burgers are available. whether outside the house (you can also preorder by phone), before loading or loading you can taste it. with good technology you can eat the burgers without cutlery. to order the homemade frits. drinks come from the refrigerator. very nice team, facing owner - we like to come with the family or sometimes alone for the evening.
