This restaurant is beside the swimming pool in La Sarraz (not Cossonay which is a few miles down the road). There is parking available although it is a pleasant walk up the hill from the town centre. There is a terrace ideal for aperitifs as the view is excellent on the right day. Although there are quite a few tables, most are booked in advance so either book ahead or get there early if you want a table. The menu specialises in fish from the lake and we both had excellent fera. We shared our respective starters from a good selection. There is a very good selection of wine available by the decilitre, such as Mont-sur-Rolle for white or the local Eclepens red. Service was excellent and we enjoyed seeing the sun go down as we enjoyed a relaxed evening out.
I 've never had to send back a plate in my life... But this was an obligation. After 30 minutes of waiting to taste the worst orange sweetbreads (in reality with tomato sauce, poured directly from the pot). 7 small pieces of uncooked meat, vegetables 2 slices of carrots (pure butter taste) and potatoes which in truth were frozen fried croquettes. 35 CHF for this plate, difficult to eat even if it was free. Thank you for the effort to offer the glasses of wine, but it would have been more elegant to offer a replacement with another dish, instead of re-cooking the same one and adding the orange flavor to the tomato. Otherwise the table service itself and atmosphere. It 's good. The waitresses are professional.
AN EXCELLENT ADDRESS TO ENGRAVE IN YOUR MEMORY We ate here on August 1, 23. A marvel! Friendly setting, cozy and very calm atmosphere despite the fact that the restaurant was full, very pretty original menu favoring local products, nice choice of wines, excellent simple and refined cuisine, and above all efficient and very friendly service from Aline and her colleagues. It’s great to be welcomed by people who love their job and sharing it with their customers. Well done. We will come back.
When we 've landed there I was a little skeptic about the location. It really a public swimming pool. The view from the terrace isn 't bad on the country side landscape of canton de Vaud. The food is really good for a reasonable price. We had grillades , the meat was tender and very tasty. The service is friendly and quick. The location was pretty full so you 'll have to book in advance.
