Darien Diner - Table reservation

Unbelievable experience here. My friend found a hair in her nachos. Not on the top in the center. She had not stirred the nachos. There is no possible way that this hair fell from her head (or mine) and landed in the middle of the macho stack. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she was extremely rude and unapologetic. She implied it had been put there by us, took the plate, and then ignored us. When we insisted on speaking with the manager, the manager again implied the hair came from one of us and refused to apologize — until we demanded one. She rudely and begrudgingly said “what do you want, it taken off the bill?” We accepted this offer.We both worked in food service for years and found this response to be outrageous. The cost of the food is totally beside the point. The rudeness was over the top and totally unnecessary.

I went to eat with my family as I have for many years to this diner , and the waitress that attended us was very rude. She did not display manners nor respect toward us the customers and acted as if we were annoying her and looked down on us. Very disrespectful! Manager should have trained better the staff or better yet not having someone like this lady who has a very negative presence and gives bad image to a diner that we all love. Clearly this arrogant, disrespectful, tall, dark hair, red lipstick lady should not be working as a waitress as she does not possess an ounce of hospitality on her blood.

Parking: On a bust morning you may have to wait for a spot to open up or you can chance it and park in the lot next door but idk how safe that is and what the towing risks are

Food was underwhelming. Service was okay. Fries were good. Corned beef was a tough as shoe leather. Portions were small.

Fantastic food in a diner atmosphere, love it everytime we are in town.
