First impressions are everything and we were not impressed with the hostess. She didn’t say Hello/Welcome when we arrived on time for our 5:45pm reservation. Despite specifying on our OpenTable reservation that we don’t want a table near the kitchen, she chose a table that was the absolute closest to the kitchen!! There were plenty of available tables elsewhere and we were eventually seated at a more acceptable table, however I certainly don’t appreciate unnecessary attitude from hostesses like we experienced at The Daily Grill. I really didn’t want to stay. Fortunately, our server Cody made up for our initial impression. He was professional, efficient and personable. The menu is very good a lot of options at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the calamari to start, large portion and cooked perfectly. The French beef dip was very tasty and the Cobb salad was excellent. The restaurant interior reminds us of dinners in NYC, classic. This restaurant won’t be at the top of our list to visit again, Palm Desert has so many other restaurants that we enjoy.
Open Table reservation for 5:30. Arrived a little early for Happy Hour. Not a big bar area, but lucky enough to find a couple of seats. Had a Stella's glass of Pinot Noir at a discount. Decided to eat in the bar at a table that opened. Great service from Diana Ashley. We received warm Sourbread butter for starters. We had already decided we wanted to share their Cobb Salad. It is an ample serving to be split. They were kind enough to serve it on two plates for us.. Expect a busy place with a higher noise level. Vacationing here from Wisconsin we usually try to plan one visit here. Make sure to make a reservation.
The Daily Grill is located in a perfect place: at the beginning of the shopping district of El Paseo, which means that you get both a great view of the street and a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff is very friendly and nice. And they make sure that your visit is as good as possible. The restaurant offers a variety of choices, from salads to burgers and other types of food. The foods we ordered were all wonderful; we were very satisfied. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would offer the staff with the amazing service. I recommend this restaurant (and make sure to make a reservation before! .
Located at the western end of Paseo Drive, The Daily Grill features a spacious terrace area equipped with sisters. The restaurant has a bar and dining area. Pro Tip: Make a reservation. It's much easier to get a table when you call. The Daily Grill menu offers something for everyone. The rich salads are really huge and very tasty. And the bread, good, it is worth the calories (especially because it is served hot). The staff is friendly and helpful. Great place after a hard day of shopping.
