Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We were there for a little birthday meeting for my sister-in-law. My daughter and son-in-law also brought our one-year-old granddaughter. Our big daughter has a very bad milk allergy and can have nothing with milk or butter, etc. The children's menu said they have milk-free products. The manager, I think his name was Jim, told us that everything was cooked on the same grill with butter and said that the vegetables were also cooked in butter. He said he'd check twice. He checked and came back and said the vegetables were cooked in margarine instead of butter. So our big daughter could have a decent dinner, he said he had his cooking line the grill with aluminum foil so that no dairy products would touch her food. He came with a delicious chicken breast that was only made for them with beautiful fresh carrots. She loved her. Kudos to Jim and his staff. He definitely went beyond and beyond all expectations. We have always been fans of Cracker Barrel and with service like this will definitely continue to be. Thank you.

The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant is also a good place to enjoy a delicious satisfying breakfast, lunch or dinner. My favorite is their Country Boy Breakfast it comes with three eggs, potato casserole, grits, sausage gravy, choice of sirloin steak or country ham, I prefer the sirloin steak and of course their famous biscuits with butter and black berry jam makes one delicious meal and it 's available all day so if you enjoy a hearty big breakfast no matter the time of day your in for a treat at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant... I should add that my wife is a little disappointed in that Cracker Barrel removed oatmeal and blueberry muffins from it 's menu, as that was always her favorite meal when we visited. Maybe if enough people mention that about the oatmeal no longer being available, hopefully the folks at Cracker Barrel will bring it back!!!

There was no waiting time and not many people were there. Our waiter was a very nice young man. There could have been 3 other parties, so that not very busy at all. We ordered and received our drinks within a few minutes. It took about 25 minutes until cookies and corn bread came out. Then the ducks followed shortly after. I'm not sure what the hold was for the cookies and the grain bread. The food was pretty much what we had expected, except that I didn't really enjoy the roasted Okra. Apart from that, it was a normal culinary experience.

Food was quickly served, service was sufficient, server even lit a lantern on our table and gave us cups for our refillable drinks to go. the gift shop had tons of awesome things like thia magnetic puzzle

We came to a family birthday party, ate a good southern dinner and fantastic service.
