Colina De Oro Mexican

Honestly, I was under the misunderstanding that this location was connected by one owner to the other locations in Plymouth, Shingle Springs and Amador. But it wasn’t. Food wasn’t bad, just pricey and the items we ordered weren’t explained so we had to send one item back and have it remade. Something that could’ve been avoided if the server had explained or clarified. This location only has wine and beer while the first one we went to, we were blown away by their food, service and the bar was outstanding. So we won’t be returning any time soon now that we know what to expect. The staff was kind and hospitable, so I’m not discouraging anyone from going. Just be prepared for slightly higher prices and know what you want to order when you order it. We came, we ate and we experienced. Thank you.

This is a very good authentic restaurant, very reasonable and very friendly, everyone should try them, might be out of the way but well worth the drive! I went with a friend and ordered a beef dish. I had a problem with the beef having an odd smell so I ate the beans. I took leftover home and gave to my dog. She smelled it and walked away. So it must of been bad or old. Totally changed my mind of the place. Be careful what you eat.

Our first time in to Colina De Oro we were very pleased with the service, food and the welcome atmosphere. We will definitely be back for the Good food and service. The salsa and chips are delicious but don’t spoil your appetite with them.

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. My go-to is always the carnitas burrito wet with Verde sauce. I probably eat here at least three times a week and they are best

They have the best fish tacos with excellent customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
