Seating is tight and it's a hole in the wall but food was worth the travel from Maryland. We ordered the Margarita Pizza and the campeanelle. Service was great and accommodating. First off, the sauce. On point! It has a freshness and zest that brightens all their dishes. The zing of tomatoes made my mouth salivate as I am eating the food. Second, the pasta and bread. Perfectly cooked and are perfect vehicles for the sauce. The pasta had chorizo shavings on top which added a salty n smoky profile which was to die for. There was a perfect balance rather than an overwhelming oiliness I generally know of.
Big pizza, wood fired or oven, I don't know the difference, but it was really delicious! Toppings were great and delicious and the crust was excellent! Crispy puffy edges and thinner and softer in the middle, definitely fold-your-slice-in-half-style! Had three different pizzas here too, all delicious! Plus a Dessert Nutella style with strawberry and banana, super delicious! Only disadvantage was very limited seating inside and it was cold, so we sat on the covered covered terrace, but was still a little cool for this unprepared California Softy!
10/10 restaurant I will say with a doubt one of them, if not the best Italian restaurants meals I've ever had. The waiting staff is amazing, made the experience so much better. We came here, TWICE, because it was so good. (2 days in a row) We ordered 5 spaghetti shrimps Sampi for all my mats. Everyone had their eyes rolling on the back of their heads. Their pasta is all fresh and they put fresh garlic and basil in everything. Garlic bread? Fresh garlic. Pizza? Fresh garlic.
That's the best pizza I ever had in New York. I'm glad I found this place. The food was amazing as the service!! They gave us a free canoli, because it was our first time. And next time to order. You made a customer for life! A must here in Boston try to visit or live here.
