Chatsworth Afternoon Tea

We had an excellent meal at Cavendish Restaurant, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything was outstanding, but if I had to pick out one extra-special aspect, it would be the service. This was our first visit, but I have a feeling that we’ll be back. We liked the small set menu. This must mean that the chefs can concentrate on cooking a small range of dishes really well, rather than having to field requests for 20 or 30 dishes. We also liked the fact that the items on the menu do change a number of times during the year.

This was our second visit for afternoon tea and we took our sister in law who loved it. It is without doubt the best afternoon tea compared to many places in London. It has 5 courses savoury starter, sandwiches, sorbet, scones and cakes. Wonderful teas or coffees included plus wine/fizz as extras if you want this too. It is in a lovely place on the Chatsworth House Estate quiet, refined room. Wonderfully fine Wedgewood china and good service. Highly recommended.

Beautiful quality afternoon tea. The choice of teas was excellent. The food was wonderful and well presented. They had a great vegetarian option. Any thing we couldn't eat was boxed to take away. The atmosphere was calm and the service was attentive.

Stunning location and restaurant, our afternoon tea was beautifully presented and tasted delicious, and the doggy bags we took home kept the experience going .

Our waitress was extremely pleasant and made good recommendations. We all enjoyed our visit to the Cavendish Restaurant
