Visited as part of a large family group for lunch on a Sunday - my father-in-law loves this place and was keen to take me here. The service was polite and formal and attentive, the atmosphere is relaxed and happy. The food was magnificent and mainly meat, barbecued. I had my first and last experience of Chunchullo (fried small intestine) - it is an acquired taste I think, being chewy and fatty. The arepa, potatoes and steaks, on the other hand, were incredibly tasty. But the star of the meal was the chicharron (with aji) which was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten. Steak with cheese sauce was also incredibly delicious and life-enhancing (as well as life-shortening).Overall this restaurant was amazing. Unpretentious food cooked really well.
We were a group of 11 people (family), the service was excellent, and the food... Wow. We order "patacones (with and without cheese) and "Chicharrones as a starter. Every one in our table but me ordered some steak (different cuts and preparations). All of them were cooked as ordered and were excellent. I have to leave my item to the end because it was the best: It is called Sparrit; pork ribs with a good portion of meat and a generous and delicious portion of crispy skin of the pork (chicharron), all server with "papa criolla" . Delicious and it got the attention of everyone in my table. I had to share 2 of the rib+skin pieces.
If you want to try something unique and massive just ask for a sparrit, but warning it is massive and great. Entree ask for platanos gratinados you will get a banana fried and crunchy, it is the best. Parking available but depends of the day you need to wait for a table but it is worth it.
Such a good place with such good prices... meats are great, portions are huge, sides are brutal. I totally recommend this place. I don’t give a 5 points review because it’s not a place for super gourmet dishes, but for the prices you get, it’s incredibly good.
