Charlton Kebab House

I visited the Charlton Kebab house on the way to the 2018 New Year’s Day Charlton Athletic v Gillingham fixture with my son and his friend. We chose to travel to Charlton by train as the ground is not far from the station (Charlton), and the walk to the ground takes the visitor past many and varied food and drink outlets and looking specifically for a beef burger, we picked the Charlton Kebab house more or less at random. Both the exterior and the interior looked reasonably clean and its red colour scheme made it look quite striking. Inside, the shop had some tables and chairs which were already occupied when we arrived, and a constant steam of customer suggested that this is a popular place to eat. Many of the customers appeared to be going to the game. We choose to stand just outside and have our meal there and when we had finished were able to dispose of the packaging in a convenient litter bin close by. I ordered a ½ pounder beef burger with cheese, salad and a portion of chips. The staff were friendly and the meat was cooked to order while we waited. Although the shop was busy the orders were be served in good time and we did not have to wait long for ours. When it came, the meal was very good, tasty and with little excess fat on the burger. The chips were also good with little waste at the end of the meal. The portion size was generous and overall, I thought good value for money, would recommend visitors to the area looking for a convenient snack to go here.

Been living in the area for almost 30 years and have seen many different faces in this kebab house. There Usually so friendly and approachable. My daughter and her friends visit regularly and buy kids meals for 1.50, On this occasion when she was on her own, she was asked to pay more . I simply asked why??? the rudeness that came from them was appalling,(slight racism) the words exchanged were not appropriate to write. I feel so offended. I will not be using them again.

Great quality tasty food. The grilled food and burgers are the best in the area. The staff are always so lovely and helpful they always make you feel so welcome. Lovely Turkish food. Best in the area, highly recommend!

always good and exactly what you expect from a good kebab house. staff are nice and friendly, they seem to know everyone that comes through that door.
