I typically don't post reviews until I eat there multiple times, unless it's going to be a bad review. Charcoal Venice gets a solid 4-Stars from me. I had the Buffalo rib-eye and it tasted great! They don't say this, but the cut was actually a Princess cut, as opposed to a Cowboy cut. My wife had the cedar plank Salmon and loved it. Now she's hitting me up to make it at home. The wine by the glass list needs serious improvement. Napa/Sonoma wines were very unrepresented. Sorry, generally speaking, Paso wines lack depth and character. I really liked the architecture and open floor plan. However, those same open floor plans tend to be noisy. It's a trade-off we didn't mind so much. A better wine list and no surprise kitchen appreciation fee would have earned them a 5th star. I'd definitely go again.

The food and ambiance are incredible. The service for us that night was very slow at first (30 minutes before anyone took our drink order? To be fair our 2 friends we were meeting had been there an hour prior for happy hour at the bar) until we called someone over and they happened to be the manager. Then he helped us through most of the ordering until the end of the night....Must have been short staffed. Anyway everything was delicious and I am obsessed with the smoke and fire cocktail. Will be back!

While food is amazing, I feel that a certain waitress tends to upsell quite often, and pressure to order more than you need. Feels unauthentic-she is very social and makes you feel comfortable, but perhaps she is a great persuader, maybe without having your best intentions when the bill comes! Great food, though!

The food is SO good! Favorites so far have been the bread, carrots, hassleback potatoes, Waygu and duck. But honestly it's all so good. I've almost tried everything at this point (work dinner last week and we literally ordered one of everything! Chef's kiss!
