Lovely restaurant, lots of charm (especially inside and a fab spot in the sunshine if you sit outside. Three plats du jour were enjoyed this week. Casserole of merguez sausages was especially tasty. Puddings looked amazing (but we were too full to order one. My favourite part was that I went ahead at 11:30 to secure a table for 16 at 11:45 (we’ve worked out this is a great time to eat as by then time you are finished, the lifts are quiet my 12 year old son and I arrived and within 2 minutes, our waiter had brought over a beer and a hot chocolate with cream which I hadn’t even ordered he’d just remembered us from the day before. That’s service! Don’t miss it turn right before the tunnel at the bottom of marmottes great staff, friendly and they’re passionate about food.
We have been skiing for 40 years, several times in the Grand Massif, and my husband announced last week that this is his favourite mountain restaurant anywhere. The food is very good, but that is only part of the attraction. It has everything you want: the staff are unfailingly cheerful and efficient, there is a warm and friendly atmosphere inside and there is a large sunny terrace. Many customers were clearly enjoying the wide range of homemade cakes and tarts, whether after a lunch of traditional mountain dishes or with a morning coffee. I heard one customer tell his group that it was the best hot chocolate he'd ever had. All in all it's a real gem.
We came by race bike with my wife roud 2 o'clock afternoon on 13 august 2022. We asked for the menu' and thet reply that kitchen was nearly closed and only dessert could be ordered. the way and expression they used was very rude and unpleasant . We ordered and after completion of our lunch , before leaving , we note on another table a chopping board full of cheese , raw ham , baked ham , bread and more other things. I have no words to describe these behaviours , IT IS a SHAME !
Fast, friendly service. Delicious special of braised cabbage and pork and garlic sausage. Steak hache also good. Decent portions. Would recommend arriving early for lunch to get a table.
