We went out to see the old Roman aquaduct, which is brilliant by the way, and ended up stopping off at Casa del Guarda for refreshments afterwards. We had intended having sandwiches and coffee but when we heard the enthusiastic description of the food we changed our minds as settled in to a leisurely Sunday lunch. We ate salads made of fabulous fresh organic vegetables and cold local meats accompanied by several different fratatas. The main courses were paellas and plates of cold beef which was succulent and gorgeous. We had chocolate desserts of local and Sicilian origin to complete our meal. Our host was charming and warmly friendly. Ever aspect of the meal and the wonderful project that is Casa del Guarda was explained with great courtesy. We left feeling we had made a new friend. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Give yourself a treat and visit both the aquaduct and Casa del Guarda, I don't think you will be disappointed! If this review is helpful please give it a helpful votes, thank you.

I was with my family in this nice place a few weeks ago. I 'll go straight to the point: it is so obvious that most of the food is precooked, frozen and then microwaved, everyone gets impressed by the good presentation, but you just need to ask about that lasagna . It was so awful. And then the owner, I think his name is Sebastian, he couldn 't stop talking about whatever, I can understand a few explanations but not the whole story of his life. We just wanted to spend a pleasant day together, in family, not with a storyteller of a fake food quality. The only silver lining was the service, the waiters were accurate and efficient and despite that Sebastian treated them badly in front of everyone for stupid things I guess. You can see what exploitation means there. Bad experience!

My wife and I went to visit the aqueduct late morning. We took a taxi out and trooped around the area including crossing the aqueduct. While we were heading back to the parking lot, we decided to check out the white building off to the right. The cafe was great. The service was the best part. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The refreshments were cold and well timed. When we were done, she gave directions on how to get onto the Diablo River trail that leads back into Tarragona.

When you visit the Tarragone Aquaduct, eat lunch at the restaurant at the site. Just sit and relax, and have a meal in the beautiful surroundings. And the food at the restaurant is amazing, and the service is excellent.
