As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places! We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf! The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes. Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!
passing through the area, we were looking for a restaurant for people without reservation and this little after surprise when we stopped in it, a friendly setting, with an original, authentic, homemade menu whose flavors were so fair. All of this for a fare of the most affordable, we could not hope to find better, which is why I allow myself to leave a trace to encourage and promote these places.
very nice place and great welcome! We stayed one night in the apartments on the floor (with a taste, it is very quiet and very pleasant) and we were able to enjoy the coffee on the ground floor. Very good English breakfast! The manager's couple is very nice. I recommend without hesitation!
Café so-british... Les pâtisseries nous font atterrir en Grande-Bretagne, belle terrasse. Par contre, l'expresso est en fait un vulgaire café filtre que l'on peut voir servie au pichet par la serveuse...
