"Truly an experience! Waited a full hour in the takeout line, while bopping to live jazz played on the street. The beignets, when eaten hot, are entirely heavenly. Some guides say you can barge in and sit down ahead of all the people in line. Nope, not since Covid! Not clearly any restrooms available. Plan carefully."

This open-air café, with its iconic green-and-white awning, is not just about the food; it's about the experience. Sitting under the shade of the oak trees, sipping chicory coffee, and watching the world go by is pure bliss. Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans is a piece of culinary history. The moment I bit into those warm, sugary beignets, I knew why it's an institution. Founded in 1862, it's been serving these delicious treats for over a century! Pro tip: Don't wear black; powdered sugar is the official dress code here! Whether you're starting your day or ending a night out, Cafe Du Monde is a timeless delight that connects you to the heart and soul of the Big Easy.

I grew up here and this location is the best it?s in the heart of the city and here you experience the most of our culture. Grab a bag of beignet, shake and walks the river or sit and eat grab some coffee or milk and enjoy the live jazz music. Either way you will enjoy the history and atmosphere. There are always young servers and they are Usually very friendly as them for some recommendations on other great spots. I was baby sitting and the family was from out of townthis spot def kept them entertained and busy for a while. Look at those smiling faces.

How can you visit New Orleans and not visit here. I actually went to two different locations as one was on a tour we did and I honestly have to say that I liked the other location better than the one in the French quarter. It was way more low key, cleaner, and the staff were way way friendlier. You didn’t fell rushed at that location. Honestly I feel weird about writing this review because it is such a New Orleans staple that unless you were born under a rock, most folks know about this place.

This place is very much overestimated. They are so packed and the lines can get very long. Hence, I understand the diminishing quality. Yet, the coffee was terrible. I asked for an Iced Latte and it was a bit warm and tasteless. The beignets were average you can definitely find better. Overall, good historical place to go for the experience and vibe, but not recommended for the food and coffee. Honestly, I make better coffee at home with their same coffee beans.Just buy those
