During my initial visit to the restaurant, I ordered a scone, a teacake, and two cups of tea, totaling £11.00. I waited 15 minutes for my teacake before eventually returning to the counter to inquire about it. It took an additional 8 minutes for the teacake to finally arrive, with the server apologizing and mentioning that their toasters may be too small. I personally felt that they had forgotten my order.
I was excited to try a bacon sandwich, but was informed that they stop serving it after 11am. It was already 11:45, so I understood. I ordered a pot of tea and a scone instead. Unfortunately, the pot of tea had a broken spout, was dirty, and didn't pour properly. The scone was extremely hard and crumbled when I tried to cut it in half. Overall, not the greatest café experience I've had.
The staff at this restaurant is attentive and the food is delicious, with a variety of dishes that are not typically found in cafes. I have visited multiple times and have always had a great experience.
Always great service and friendly staff the girls at the counter are always cheerful and ask how you are.
