We’ve eaten at the Burkartshof numerous times in the past 15 years and have never had a bad meal. The meat is always of excellent quality, the vegetables fresh, and the Twister Frites (curly fries) worth the caloric indulgence. Hidden away seemingly in the middle of nowhere, there are lots of free parking spaces near the restaurant. The wine list is quite modest but you can get each kind both as a bottle and as single glasses.Our last visit was after a two-year absence. There were always two things that bothered us about the place that kept us from going back: the waiting time to get your meal, and the unfriendly service. We were hoping that had changed in the recent past, but unfortunately, it’s still the same. It took 45 minutes to get our dishes, despite the restaurant being only 2/3 full, and the waitress was totally indifferent about her job. As a gratis starter we were served a small portion of a terrine (without bread) which wasn’t particularly good and hardly made up for the wait. Fortunately our meat was terrific as usual.I really don’t know whether we will return in the near future. Nevertheless I’m giving them 4 stars because the food has always been of such great quality. Just go early and get your order in quickly!
Were there on Sunday lunchtime and there was a lunch menu. For 45. we received soup, salad, beef entrecôte with plenty of fries and a nice selection of vegetables, as well as a berry coup for dessert. SUPER value for money with a great ambience and very friendly and attentive service! Everything perfect! FYI: There was no vegetarian option on the menu. You might have to ask here.
We had an absolutely fantastic meal and were also served excellently! An unforgettable experience in an agricultural atmosphere! We'll be back soon!
