There are many restaurants in Irun that offer lunch, but most of them close at about 3:30PM, so if you want to hav lunch later tan that, there are not many options left. We vhappened to be in such a situation and decided to try the Virginia at the mendibil shopping mall, on the top floor. The weekend menú comes at 15,50€ which is a bit above average, but the choice is really big, about 8 or ten different dishes to choose from as starters, main courses and desserts. The food was good and tasty and service was quick and friendly, just the atmosphere is that of a shopping mall.
Really good spanish restaurant!! We've been there during our roadtrip with some friends, and we were kindly surprised that the waitresses taken our orders in french!! So the commucation was good.. The food was so damn good too!! Especially the carbonara, the paella and a kind of lil eels? Dunno really remember..but it was pretty good!! The sangria was EXCELLENT too..and their dessert!! My god there's a sort of cheesecake but not a traditional one, a spanish cake made with cheese?? I don't remember the name but it was so damn good!!
On December 17, 2021 my friend and I went to dinner in the Virginia restaurant in Mendibil. The restaurant was spacious and beautiful, with a lovely decor. The waiter who served us was very kind and attentive. We ordered a glass of water and a plate of pasta carbonara that included a fried egg and a sprinkle of cheese. The white sauce was delicious and the egg was tasty. I would order the same dish from the restaurant again if I were to return. I highly recommend it!!
We went there because it has „vegetarian“ in the description, but there was no vegetarian main dish at all. The staff was unfriendly.
