This is one of the worst Burger King restaurants I 've ever been to. Each time I 've ordered from here, it seems as though there is only one or two employees on duty. Long wait times and botched orders are a result of understaffing. The fries are never crisp or hot but instead they are always mushy and cold. Since very few traffic comes through here I 'm guessing that the fries I 'm being served have been sitting out for a long period of time. The customer service needs major improvement. One employee filled my large Sprite all the way to the brim to the point of overflow and handed me a dripping mess only to tell me watch out after I 've already spilled sticky soda down my door. One day they only had large cups available so the employee expected me to pay for a large even though I wanted a small drink! I know it 's just a fast food restaurant so I shouldn 't expect much of an atmosphere, but this BK looks like an abandoned building from the outside. Next to all of the other restaurants on Cicero, the dull aura of this BK sticks out like a sore thumb. If you are ordering from the drive-thru lane this is one of the locations that will ask you to back up a bit and drive forward again , presumably in an attempt to trick the sensors into thinking customers are being served quality food in a timely manner. We are not.
It's funny how the reviews 3 years ago still apply. It's like there aren't any workers. We pulled up to the speaker and no one answered. So we pulled up the the drive thru window...Lights on, we did see a worker inside, but he ignored us. I decided to go in to see what was going on since this has happened several times before. A different worker approached me and said sorry ma'am, but we're closed the door should be locked. I said, is the drive thru open? He said, no, everything is closed. It was approximately 8:00 pm on a Sunday. The hours on the door state they close on Sundays at 12:00 am. So we left. I tried calling and no one answered. I then called the Oak Forest location to check the hours and was told they're open til 12:00 am. It's amazing to me that this location (Midlothian) is still open...or is it? Just shut it down and be done with it.
I was out running errands today and used the drive through for a quick lunch and am very sorry that I did. I ordered a cheese whopper junior and a medium onion ring. I live 6 blocks away and by the time I got home and ate the food it was cold (burger and rings like it came out of a cooler. By the look of the building on the outside (very run down I should have known better than to have ordered from there. From the time of ordering till pick up it was 20 minutes, a little too long for fast food at 1:00 pm in the afternoon. I will not be going back and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
There needs to be negative stars for this particular Burger King. I knew I should not go back, but it was close and time was limited. Today, they were only accepting credit cards. I offered the exact amount of cash, but they said cards only. When I asked why, they said, cards only. Oh, and as usual, employees were slow and rude. If you are beyond hungry, they are giving the food away and the place is literally in your backyard, eat somewhere else.
