We came here as it was the only non fast food restaurant still serving meals at 3pm in the afternoon. That said, it's still a chain restaurant, so we weren't expecting incredible standards. The food was OK, and the service was slow but the waitresses were polite and friendly. What really got to us though, was the worrying standard of hygiene. First, I found a worm in my free starter salad. I'd eaten half of it before the little creature poked its head up at me, wiggling and writhing as if begging for mercy. We called the waitress and I made a joke out of the extra protein she was mortified and offered to change the salad for me, so that was properly handled. When our meals and drinks arrived, lo and behold, I found a fly in my glass of red wine. Once again, the waitress was called over and we made a joke of the restaurant's authentic outback ambiance, complete with flies and all. I don't think they appreciated that... Anyway, to make up for it they took 10% off our bill. When all is said and done, will we return to the restaurant? No.
This is an American style restaurant with mediocre overcooked steak, none of the waitresses spoke English. It was a rough visit. They didn't have the steak I originally wanted and I settled for a rump steak that was overcooked and really dry. My pasta side was also awful and tasteless. My boyfriend got a cocktail and enjoyed it but the waitress cleaned it off the table before he was done. Overall a poor visit. Would not go again.
Dinner on the road to Barcelona. This a French chain with many stores. There was an english menu availabe. We had a hangar steak, which was sliced thin like roast beef. The meal came with a baked potatoe, small salad and bread. The service and food were not fine dining but was tasty if not exciting. A good stop if driving to a destination.
Service was good. Too bad at least one wait staff could speak English. Food was good. Like the idea you get a salad before you order your meal. Food was hot and tasty. I would go back again the next time I'm in France.
