Looking for a nice place to eat late night with our two boys. Found this place and were pleasantly surprised! Not that we thaught that the place did not look nice because it did (and it had a great little secret patio in the back) but we're just not really Looking for a place like this. Even though they might have been ready to close up they were more ten eager to serve us as we were quickly seated on the patio. House lager was a great recommendation by our awesome waiter. Had a burger and the kids wolfed it, my wife the salmon and quinoa and loved it and I had a brisket that was even though I was full to good to leave any bit of on my plate. And before the food came out we had a plate of home made fries with home made mayo! I'd go back for those in a heartbeat! I'm a fan guys! Actually were fans! See u soon
Had a very late lunch here Saturday and pretty much had the lovely plant covered patio to ourselves. It felt like the perfect lunch spot. Great décor, ambience and feel. Good staff, service and food - we had the burger and fries, both 10/10. Very nice neighbourhood joint in a lovely part of Toronto - one of my favourite shops, Black Rooster, is a few doors away and there is a great florist close by. I'd imagine that the patio gets packed at busy times and at the weekend. Would definitely return.
This was the first time we have eaten on their patio, and it is a lovely space. We had , in a part of five,one gluten-free and one vegetarian, and there are plenty of options for everyone. We love the cocktail and wine menus. Very well thought out. We shared four appetizers, and then each had a main. My kale, quinoa and chicken salad was really, really delicious. Another fav of ours is the popcorn. This is a great, comfortable neighbourhood spot.
On a recent visit to Toronto, my son suggested the Brooklyn Tavern for dinner. Excellent steaks with a good selection of wines. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Will be going back.
