Loved this historic gem! Jack was the absolute BEST! He’s super sweet and informative. He showed us the Auburn Room as well as Nick Saban’s room and that was the perfect touch to end our night and see a real piece of Alabama history. We ordered the claws, green tomatoes, cheeseburger and fries. We also got the stuffed mushrooms and the sampler which included the Snapper, Greek Style Chicken Famous Beef Tenderloin. Forgot to take pics because we were hungry and the food looked so good. Everything was just made to perfection. Seriously, no complaints! The Tahitian Georgia Peach cocktails were yummy and accompanied my meal great. I will definitely be back and I hope to get Jack again because he took care of us very well!
I was so very disappointed in my birthday supper! The plated food looked as bad as it tasted and I’ve been a staunch fan since 1983 . Even after I handed back a dinner with few bite from the cold plate of what should have been hot food, they didn’t ask what was wrong with it and didn’t take it off my bill ! I always loved this place but it no longer lives up to its previous reputation! They had only 2 desserts too.
Bright Star is a true classic. Dinner is always good and the atmosphere is fantastic. The meat and three lunch is also quite good. Gumbo and crab claws are also delicious.
