The biggest mistake I've made since moving to Bowmanville from Toronto 2 years ago is not trying Bowmanville Thai earlier. My favourite restaurant in the city served authentic Thai curry so I was stubborn and didn't bother trying to order Thai for awhile after I moved here. The first place I ordered from in town was okay but not what I craved. Finally I decided to try Bowmanville Thai and was delighted when I opened up my take out order! The green curry was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the pad thai and said it was good but not the best he's ever had. I also ordered the crispy fried tofu and it was served with the most amazing peanut sauce! I look forward to ordering from here again! Received prompt customer service and my pick-up order was ready in 25 minutes.
Last night I ordered from Bowmanville Thai, and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour, so we said okay. This was at 7:00 p.m. and we still didn't have any food at 8:30 so phoned the restaurant back and was told that it was on the way. Then the phone rang and we had to spend the next 30 minutes trying to get the woman delivery person to our house, she had a gps but still couldn't find it. Got the food at 9:00 which was just lukewarm and pretty unappetizing, very tasteless. Will never order food from here again, service terrible and food not very good at all.
I have eaten several meals from this Thai take out and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, very reasonably priced and consistent in it's taste. I have eaten meals in Thai restaurants that have not been as good and have cost considerably more. I hope this young man stays in Bowmanville for a long time
Great takeaway Thai in downtown Bowmanville. Fast, friendly and great food. Try the Cashew Chicken, or the Yellow Curry with Shrimp especially. The Basil Chicken is also delicious. The dumplings are fabulous and there are plenty to go around. Fresh, good food.
