Got starters of calamari for 3 people everyone had one or two pieces and typically everyone found plastic strips in side the batter when we called the waiter he said it wasn’t plastic but some kind of membrane that should have been removed before cooking.Even though he admitted that it wasn’t right we never got anything knocked of the bill apart from the calamari starters that was inedible.Shame that a place we use to frequent regularly for over 20 years is now over the last 18 months a place where we go reluctantly!

Food, wine and service great until we were made to feel very unwelcome by a particular member of staff at the end of the evening when we were abruptly and aggressively informed it was last orders. We were deeply shocked at the inappropriateness of the staff member’s attitude and would have immediately left at that moment if we didn’t have to wait for our taxi. Absolutely appalling customer service from this female member of staff who should never have been employed in a customer facing role.

We were glamping nearby around 5/10min away and fancied lunch. We got seated as we had not booked and got good service we had 3 lunch meals n a kids.omg was amazing for the price .Will defo recommend to eat here and next time we glamp we will re visit here too. Steak ciabatta 2 fish ciabatta n a kids sausage n mash meal all 3 were delightful. Will visit again.

We walked in the pub, it was full of empty tables and seats and we were refused service. They said the earliest they can have us is in an hour and a half. I checked the website as we left and it gave me options to book a table online straight away. We drove to a different pub instead.

Would highly recommend. Welcoming atmosphere, lovely food and great service from the staff, especially Christine who looked after our table.
