An East Meadows institution since the 1950s for so many reasons. Many visit Borrelli for their famous pizza and for me was no exception. We had baked the big margarita pee to perfection with plenty of sauce and fresh mozzarella. Overall fair prices and very friendly atmosphere great for the family and or together. Live music on weekend nights a bonus. Just reason not 5, because my dinner felt rushed, which I totally understand, every restaurant must turn around tables, but since I ordered a bottle of wine, her staff should know that we tend to sip and enjoy a little longer, but kept I wonder if we were ready for the check. Something to remind the staff because there were empty tables at the time.
I honestly wanted to love this place but everything was bland. The side of Caesar salad was old. I wish I would've taken a picture of it but I was so disappointed I threw it out right away. The ice cream and the garlic bread were the only good things we got. The portions were good, just wish it had more flavor . Chicken piccata barely had any capers.
We always get the meatballs and garlic bread as an addition to our meal at home. Great pricing, great staff and always comes hot and fresh.
Cheese not cooked enough this is second time it happened I guess I can't ask for extra cheese
