There 's nothing I blithely tolerate more than businesses which occupy the bottom floor of some grim new apartment complex. The windows on the ground floor are always too tall and I 'm caught staring at my reflection more times than I care to count. And as much as the easy access to a Good or Service holds an appeal, there is an unbridled discomfort in being physically beneath four to seven people who are willing to pay three times your rent for something that 's an equivalent size to your apartment. I hope the CalTrain never lets them rest.Time disappears inside this store. No matter where or when I place my order, it 's always on the counter. I have ordered Brown Sugar Milk Tea from the 22 bus as it careens down the one block separating me and a bucket of tapioca pearls. Time to order 7-9 minutes. Yet there it is, nestled in its special and separate location on their counter, a foot away from the sign that delineates where orders placed on Uber Eats et al. will be.There is always someone beautiful and younger than me working there, usually huddled in conversation with someone else beautiful who also works there. As I walk in to pick up my order, which I 'm retrieving on the twelve minute break between discussing Audre Lorde 's Uses of the Erotic and a documentary following the last years of her life when she lived in Berlin, they stop their briefly gorgeous conversation to say Hi! Welcome in before immediately resuming. As I walk out the store, the flaccid paper wrapper of my straw failing to enter the overfull trashcan at the entrance exit of the store, they give another brief cheer goodbye. Thank you! I feel too embarrassed to go back and pick up my trash off the ground. I 'm usually greeted by some awful gust of wind down 16th street, destroying whatever poise my outfit might have had when I left the house. At least I have this perfectly chewable made to order sugar rush of delicate tea leaves, drenched in the beauty of all this bright new glass.

I am quite disappointed with Boba Guys. I 've been to different Boba Guys locations in the past and thought their boba drinks were consistently delicious. I was craving some boba and decided to go get some Boba Guys because it had been a long while since I had their drinks. In the past, all of the stores I 've been to had crazy long lines where it took a long time to get my drink. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn 't that many people in the store so I didn 't have to wait in line. Maybe that was a sign. I got the rose milk tea with boba and was super excited to drink it.But my excitement quickly turned to disappointment after my second sip when I got some boba. The rose milk tea was pretty solid, I could taste the fragrance of the tea they used and also the rose flavor in my drink. However, the boba was pretty tough and tasted very bleh. I remember their boba used to be my favorite thing from their store. It used to be soft, chewy, and sweet. But I suppose things have changed now.. for a store to be called Boba Guys , I would expect their boba to be consistently good. Boba guys will now be out of my boba rotation.

I recently came because I was in the area. I've been to a few locations before, but haven't tried this one. This location was easy to find, and an okay amount of parking considering San Francisco. I was able to find parking in their back section, which was a less than 5 min walk. Nothing too different compared to their other locations as of decor and drinks. Pretty straight forward. Although the day I did visit, their computer system was down so I had to pay cash. Luckily I had some on me (lol). I ordered their dirty banana milk. Very tasty, and always one of my faves. Order came out in a timely fashion, and I was out of there in no time.

Got the dirty mojito and was way to expensive for what it was. There were two small mint leaves and was really mediocre in taste. Had high hopes.Boba was cooked fine.Dietary restrictions: You can get alternate milks, obviously extra.
