The Bistro used to be our favourite restaurant and we used to visit it regularly but it has changed beyond recognition for the worse. We will not be returning. The food is very overpriced and just not good enough for the price. If you want those prices then the food has got to be sooo good and it it is very ordinary. The January menu was very odd not even any chicken dish in fact it was difficult to find anything nice. Risotto basically a dollop of rice was served up with no accompaniment and yet cost £15.50. We will make sure everyone we knows just how poor the Bistro is. So disappointing as the venue is in a great position.
I had the set menu of 3 courses for 29 and it was really good value, but not so much choice on the net. Very quiet on a Monday night, but that was nice for us. Very nice wine Sagredeos de Miguel (red Portuguese) that was very reasonable price.
The food was excellent and the location on the Ipswich Waterfront could not have been better. We booked a table, but on a cold gray March noon the place was empty
The food is really amazing and delicious, and the service is good as well. Must go again in future.
