I've been to Benihana many times and every time the food is great. We dived both with and without the cooking show, and we did. We also made reservations for the party room that is beautiful because the door closes so that you have more privacy. They also gave my parents a free dessert when we celebrated their anniversary. The best part? The show is so much fun and there's some fun watching someone who's eating. The worst part? Although most chefs do the same show, sometimes we have chefs that are not so much fun or not very enthusiastic, so it is not so exciting. You will not know what kind of cook you have until you get it.
Went with friends to enjoy dinner to celebrate a birthday dinner. It was less to be desired and not very enjoyable. The service was incredibly slow from our nearly nonexistent server. The table chef was improvising to provide us with service in fact he had to find us dinner plates and silverware as we were left without any. Subsequently our food turned out overcooked, especially the seafood which became rubbery as result. The ambiance was so-so. We will not be returning to this location.
Not much has changed at the Minneapolis location, but always fun to partake in the 'birthday' treat once a year. My companion and I waited about minutes past our reservation to be seated, and the rice was a little too undercooked, but it won't stop me from going again in a year.
With my friend participating in a dinner date, it was the best experience ever. Order Sushi, Dimsum, Teriyaki Chicken, omgggg it was soo amazing!!!! The bowl, the Lord, etc. was legit! Do not have pictures of food, but have to visit!!
