The view is breathtaking but the people of the village unfortunately refuse to host people who are not bringing money. No asylum seekers wanted in their village. However, as a tourist who brings good money you are obviously very welcome. So, don't worry if you are one of those. The foods was delicious Swiss food without any foreign ingredients. Good cheese and Bündnerfleisch. The bread was very crunchy.
The hotel is out in the country, not walkable to town, but the view of Lake Lucerne from the dining room and our balcony was breathtakingly beautiful. It's a ways down the mountain to the town of Stans, but nice place to visit. The rooms were clean, bathrooms small but clean. The view was the best part. We were with a tour group of 45 people, so of course not everyone got a great lake view.
Eric is the best host ever, had the pleasure of going there for one of our company dinners while over in May, the food was awesome as always and the views were second to none. Eris always is fun to be around, and the Special Coffee at the end of the meal is the best I have ever had. Thanks for the awesome dinner, the beautiful views and all the nice memories.
We stayed several places while touring Europe and this was by far our favorite, mainly because of the amazing view! You MUST get a view on the water side - you can see the Swiss Alps and it is breath taking. The food was very good, and we woke to an amazing sunrise over the mountains. Can't say enough how beautiful this place was!
