We went there today and it is the worse dining experience in Germany so far. The waitress' attitude was bad from the very beginnjng. 1 She kept ignoring us and even walked away when we were talking to her. 2 She said no English menu is available but we found they do have it when talking to other guests later. 3 She made a big sound by hitting beer glasses on the table when we asked her to clean the table, which was quite wet and dirty after other guests 4 we asked plates to share food three times and she kept pretending not hearing or seeing us 5 when we finished and she took away plates, she asked us to take two tiny leaves of salad on the table to plates by ourselves. 6 we found there is extra charge on the drinks. We order two drinks but they charged three. She said the charge is for extra plate, EUR 2.5 for a plate! I have never been to a restaurant who charges guests for plates!!! And they input the item as a drink. I felt it is not common and we were cheated. 7 She even gave us wrong changes. Our bill was Eur 34.5 (including eur 2.5 for extra plate! , I paid Eur 100 and she only returned me 55.5! Even we asked her that her calculation was wrong, it should be eur 65.5 instead, she insisted she was correct, in bad attitude. After showing her in calculator, finally she gave us back eur 10 never said sorry 8 from the very beginning, no please or sorry or thank you, no this kind of word at all. Never ask if food is ok or what else we need. No smile. I will never ever go to this restaurant again.
We decided to sit in the garden, with a great view of the Eagle's Nest, while we dined on delicious German food and beer. The server spoke limited English, which was much better than our limited German. Nevertheless, we could communicate our order and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was recommended as a place visited by locals to get good food at a reasonable price. Well found.
This was the most popular very busy and good food, staff very good they had a couple of nights with traditional music and this place is used by the local people so they were right into the ompa music which I must say is very fitting in this setting, definately worth going some days you may need to book particularly if live music is being played.
We got there by accident. Everything else was closed, it was off season, was raining. We thought we wont eat anything. Then we found this place. Empty. Usually in the days like that one you cant get anything good to eat but that was really great meal.The stuff was also super nice. I really recommend that place for dinner. You wont regret it.
