The Beatus restaurant is part of the hotel, but I believe it would be possible to eat there as a non-guest if you made a prior reservation. The room is beautifully decorated, and tables sufficiently apart with no feeling of crowding. Although it is a fairly large hotel it is still quite personal with the owner coming over to chat at tables and his wife helping with the service. There is a large choice of menus, and greed led us to the most pricey 39.50€ three course one. It is also possible to eat à la carte of course or one of the entré/plat or plat/desert ones. We loved the entrées foie gras with apples and cinnamon stick with balsamic jus and St Jacques in a creamy sauce. We both had the generous portions of beautiful rosé lamb cutlets with haricots verts, crunchy garlicky mangetout and fried potato. I finished with gaufres and my wife had a version of red fruit crumble with a mango sorbet. The wine list was slightly weak, but Cambrai is hardly a wine-drinking region. We did find a drinkable Châteauneuf-du-Pape which went well with the food.We then adjourned to the opulent lounge for coffee and petit fours, sat among the liliesBy the time a bottle of Evian and a kir for my wife were added the meal was quite expensive, but we could have got away with something far cheaper and still been satisfied. We’d certainly eat there again, ideally in the summer when you can enjoy the garden more fully.

The Beatus is perfectly placed for a last night (with 90 miles/150km to Calais), so you arrive and crash. Not really - its a long walk into town - easy but not with temperatures at -4C and not after a a 500km drive. We were hesitant but very pleasantly surprised and would return - we had salads, duck, beef. There's a pretty good cheeseboard and actually we'll go again. It was great to wash all that down with some reasonable claret and rhone, after 6 days in Alsace! The restaurant room felt like there were lots of corners so we could settle down with pleasant privacy and certainly comfort.I reviewed the hotel too - do go.

Restaurant at this hotel is excellent. It has a wide range of high quality local produce and excellent a la carte menus. The pices are very reasonable and the presentation faultless. To keep costs down, we opted for the Table d'Hote. These prices were really attractive with sufficient choice for us all, veggies included .Again, the dishes were of excellent quality with an outstanding presentation. We ate here most nights. Highly recommended.

Not a huge menu but several fish, meat and poultry dishes. Good value fixed price menu and interesting local menu.
