Came here for an event.  Excellent service, perfectly cooked food, great location.   For mains I had the Eye Fillet steak which was beautifully cooked and enjoyed every bite running the piece of grilled heaven through that red wine jus!!!   The other main they had was a salmon and from what I could tell - that crispy cooked skin which was had by the people on either side of me made it look quite tempting and I almost asked to swap.   For dessert I had the creme brulee with raspberry coulis, nice end note.   The L-shaped function space was a little awkward to navigate, but screens everywhere ensured everyone knew what was going on during the sports presentations.   But there was just something unnerving about being in a room of about 200 people where you couldnt see half the room hahaha...

I suppose when you call a restaurant to check for reservations and find it's completely empty that should mean something. Particularly 15 mins before u are to arrive at 6pm on a Saturday. That being said the food wasn't bad, certainly for the price. All a little underwhelming in flavour and some dishes lacked seasoning. Gnocchi (Neapolitan) was maybe a little bouncy but the sauce ok. Wild mushroom risotto was a little stiff and the pumpkin raviolini was a little dense. The inclusion of a large garlic clove hidden amongst the sauce was an unwanted surprise. We also had the San Daniele pizza. Again not to bad but the figs that were on it (not on the menu) did it no favours at all. Would try other restaurants rather than come back

Have been here previously and had decent meals however today was a bit of a let down. The dusted squid was very chewy and disappointing although the roasted garlic aioli was lovely. The burrata caprese was much better and generous.

If you need a good meal whilst in Sydney give this place a try. You'll get good sized servings at reasonable prices. If you're staying at Rydges Sydney Central you can even charge your bill to your room.
