On a driving holiday through Europe, we stopped overnight at the Chateau a few minutes walk away from this little restaurant. This was the closest place to our accommodation for a meal and the owner of the Chateau recommended it. Our French is not very good, so we opted for the simple choice of Steak Frites, which was on the specials board, and a glass of red wine. Our waitress did not speak much English, but we were able to communicate with the little French we knew and with hand gestures. The food was very good and cooked to our liking, but mostly it was the atmosphere in La Terrasse that we enjoyed the most. The staff, despite not speaking very much English, chatted to us and made us feel very welcome and we had a wonderful evening in their company and enjoying their food and wine. We would certainly recommend this restaurant, which also seemed a favourite of the locals.
