If you like to stay with Lotte experience. She's the best person I ever know. I was there as a child who learned the German language and then often. Your daughter is also great. This restaurant close to the train station in Staufen had good food at a reasonable price. We did not see a menu and the lady did not speak English, but we managed to order and the ham, potatoes, and salad were wonderful. She tried really hard to communicate. She did understand beer and wine, also. We would definitely go back to this place where the locals go.
I studied in Staufen at The Goethe Institute years ago and quickly came to LOVE Lotte and Zum Bahnhof. I have visited over the past 20 years, loving the "gemutlichkeit" and hope to share the same feeling with my children in the near future. This is a special town with special people and can surely create many many wonderful memories.
