I didn’t write this review because I’m particularly interested in health food but because there may be others in this small town looking for a health food store/bakery/restaurant.In Caldas my girlfriend, her cousin, her husband and I lunched at this restaurant called Azahares. It sold natural products (vitamins and such) in the front section, followed by a small bakery with a nice sized restaurant in the back. My girlfriend ordered for me and I got a large bowl of frijoles with small cubes of mango inside, a slice of avocado on top along with about 6 small french fries (?). It was quite tasty. Then I was brought a small plate with tomato slices and what looked like couscous (they said it was natural rice) but I didn’t care for the “rice”. I also had a glass of strawberry juice. The others had something similar and the bill was 38,600 (about $13) for all of us. Outside were a couple umbrella tables and I enjoyed an unusually nice breeze. The restaurant did not have wi-fi.I ordered one of their little muffins that I saw in the bakery. It had raisins inside but was as dry as anything; probably didn’t contain an ounce of butter. At the time of this review there were 2,950 Colombian Pesos to the US dollar.
