"Such a lovely location but the food is so disappointing and the service is very slow. I will advise just to have a drink outside en enjoy at the sunset."

We went early (about 5.30 PM) to be sure to get a table and when we got there, we were informed that food was not served until 7 PM and we had to make a reservation. A bit odd since were were already there but we made the reservation, had a drink and were then moved two tables away from where we were sitting to have our dinner. Very efficient and friendly service. I had the special of the day which was ”semi-cooked” tuna and it was exactly that, a bit undercooked for my liking. My husband had the entrecôte which was fine. Lots of people, great view of the sea, very basic.

We had a great meal here! There’s a simple menu: oysters, seafood, grills and a kids’ menu too. There were only a few staff working but service was always cheerful. Who cares if you have to wait a while for service when you have a table overlooking the sea, the rock pools and the setting sun? When the restaurant started serving food at 7pm in the evening it filled up immediately so it’s a good idea to arrive a bit earlier for drinks and grab a table for dinner then.

The setting is the best part, unfortunately the food and service don’t match. The mussels au curry had a cold gelatinous bright green sauce poured over them. Hardly cooked au curry! Service is brusque because insufficient staff. They do their best but they are run off their feet. The boss needs to reassess. It’s a money making machine currently.

This is a classic beach side bar/restaurant. The food is simple, good and plentiful. Prices are fair. The staff and clientele are good humoured and bring out the best in the place. It has great views of the sea and sky. We were there in sun (glorious) and rain (comforting). Go with an open heart and you will be repaid manifold.
