"Second visit and an absolutely delicious lunch at this gem of a place. The food is just incredible and a lovely quaint restaurant in the countryside. Make sure you add it to the list of nearby or make the detour if not. Will be back again one day. Thanks for a superb meal."

We knew we had made a good choice as soon as we had stepped inside the restaurant and were warmly welcomed by the owners. Placed on a table by a glowing fireplace we enjoyed the antiques collection dotted around the room. The food was good honest French cooking, full of flavour, generous in portion size and always brought to the table with a smile. The homemade profiteroles were the best I've ever eaten. We were treated to an orange and coffee Calvados blend by a couple on the next table (smartly dressed locals who dined there every week). It was gorgeous and completed the meal wonderfully. Go there for the food, but also go there for the experience.

I have been going there for many years several times a year for business meals (8 people) with other local people. We choose of the menu of the recommended daily specials. The dishes are typical and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The staff is mainly the wife of the owner who is very nice and very professional. The food is typically local and excellent and very freshly cooked). It is not designed for tourists hence I recommended it. Also, its setting is outside of Pont l'Eveque in the middle of fields. The décor is charming with a large fireplace. A true French Norman restaurant.

We were a group of four, who turned up without a reservation on a Friday evening, but were immediately welcomed and shown to a table. The proprietor, who was also the chef, came out to shake hands. The menu was brought to the table on a blackboard, and was explained to us in English where necessary. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. I would have no hesitation in returning if I am in the area again.

We have been visiting this restaurant for over ten years now, and Nicolas never fails to deliver the best food ! The menu is presented on a blackboard with a starter of the day and a main dish of the day. everything is sourced locally, and cooked freshly. The ambiance whether in the small dining area near to the fire, which is cosy in the winter, or in the main dining area is always good. Highly recommended
