We went a noon to this restaurant in the old town of belfort, "at the foot of the lion", a symbol. a formula of the day has been selected at several price levels. entrance, dish, cheese or dessert. one of the choices was a steam cooked salmon, lemon sauce, the other a poultry with a sauce, we wanted to taste this poultry terrine ( twice the poultry in the same poultry menu.., it seems to us that we could have a grilled vegetable terrine or a verrin or a fish terrine). This says one can be fed without problems, but it just misses a touch of the chef because the dishes are not seasoned, yes there are many dry herbs, but it does not seem sufficient for the taste, the lemon sauce does not have a lot of character either, the salmon is cooked as it is necessary, in terms of poultry, it also lacks taste, despite the sauce that accompanies it. brief simple family cuisine without too much taste.
a finally correct welcome in a restaurant. It's rare. The menu at 35 euros is simple, but good, with subtle and refined tastes and fresh products, sufficiently copied as well and unlike what I have already been able to read - the purée is made home, it is no doubt (undoubted people are too accustomed to metro restaurants). we had already spent this winter, even more than positive. a hic, you have to be reserved, and sometimes the wait is a little long - but they are dishes cooked so it takes time.
The dishes tasted tonight were unsurprising. a lemon salmon paved with rice and some eggplants and a hint of pear, the exaltation of taste buds was not at the rendezvous. When serving ice cream cuts with little ice cream and a lot of whipped. The ordered coffee went to the trapper. We won't come back.
We hesitated to take a sandwich around here. then we saw this nice little restaurant: impec the menu at 12 euros for lunch. and the card is promising (for a gastro dinner). Thanks and good season!
