The smell of food cooking wallops you when you enter this restaurant. The kitchen is right next to the entrance. One one side the kitchen opens on to a huge Asian food supermarket owned by the restaurant and on the other side of the kitchen lies the restaurant (alas without great ventilation, hence the omnipresent food smells). The menu is extensive and although there are some Thai dishes, this is a Vietnamese restaurant with the best Vietnamese food in Zurich, made with very fresh ingredients from the supermarket just behind the kitchen. My favourite dish is the banh xeo or Vietnamese crepe, accompanied by a Vietnamese iced coffee. The prices are reasonable for Switzerland and the service is fast and friendly.
I'm Asian people and I'm find this restaurant from tripadvisor which has both good and bad comments but finally, I decide to go and it wasn't disappointed at all because I think the taste is great for Asian people. They have several menu and condiment. They also serve very well and give recommend menu for our family. Especially the special noodle soup is very delicious for us, my mom really love it. Although, the price maybe expensive but It's definitely worth the try. If we come to travel again, we will come back to eat with this restaurant.
The server behind the buffet at lunchtime was disrespectful and yelled at me because he didn't correctly understand my request in both German and English. The server did not correctly wear a face mask, leaving his nose exposed so seems to have no respect for hygiene regulations. He also did not wear gloves and seemed unconcerned that his thumb was touching my food—it was a totally awful and disgusting experience. I complained to a waiter but he was unwilling to pass on the feedback because the server is his boss.
For lunch, you can either choose from the buffet or order from a limited menu, in the evening they have quite an extensive menu. The restaurant imports certain vegetables and spices directly from Vietnam and has its own Vietnamese supermarket next door. The food is simply amazing, close your eyes and you would think you were in Vietnam. I love it so much, I am eating there at least twice a month. Staff is lovely, too.
