We had been told of this restaurant by an American that travels to Colombia for work. He advised us to go to the one in Chia not the one in Bogotá. It is easy to get a taxi to and fro.The restaurant will organise a taxi home for you as some places suggested retaining your taxi during the meal. The whole restaurant is an experience. It is huge and full of stuff! The service was very friendly and the food was all delicious. The menu is huge and there was only two of us so we could not sample too much. One of our choices was the Lomo al trapa. This was so tender the knife did not need to be very sharp to cut through it. The place was full of Colombians rather than tourists so it is not just a tourist destination (although they must feed a lot of tourists as the menu is in English and Spanish).
This is definitely the most memorable place in Bogota I visited. I was told it grew organically but every corner have a great detail. It is very big but very organized. Service was excellent and food was good, I expected a bit more from the beef but it was good -my wifeordered churrasco and I the beef loin. I have to clarify that we had a limited menu since it was an company event for 50 people, I was very surprised how they actually served our group it was great, kudos to your staff. They had a show and music and we had a blast, definitely a place to go with some friends. Loved it.
The food and drinks were good and the environment was fun BUT then I saw 6 women dressed in blackface. One girl was in blackface with a black turtleneck and face painted black, wearing a dress with extra padding in the behind. 5 other girls were in blackface wearing tight clothes doing a dance routine. I found it very offensive and wasn't sure why no one seemed to care. Andres Carne de Res should stop this practice!
Amazing place to visit with locals, cannot miss this place on Friday night, the food, the drinks, the ambiance, just the best place to have a party, ESPECTACULAR!!!!!
