We originally visited this pub about eight years ago, we really enjoyed it then and if anything it was even better second time around. It is full of nooks and crannies spread over several floors and with an outdoor terrace with heaters it is ideal whatever the season. It is a find a table remember your number and order at the bar place but it is a cut above the usual fahre. Halloumi in butter was absolutely excellent with an almost tempura light batter. The triple cooked chips very nice as was the crispy squid. The star of the show though was the humble hispi cabbage. Crunchy and dripping in butter it was delicious and a complete steal at just £2.50 as a side. Couple everything with a lovely Spanish white wine was great. If you a looking for somewhere to eat with good food and more atmosphere than the chains this is your place. It’s also really easy to get to right on the banks of the Thames and a stones throw from Tate Modern. Highly recommended.
