We were on the way from north to south-west and in Bad Hersfeld Station and were at the B F Hotel (also very nice there! . As we were, the recommendation to the Old Brauhaus came right. We decided to sit in it, it was almost too shaded, inside is comfortably furnished and rustic. Instead of small for a brewhouse (but as a big city man you are probably used in other sizes, but original, clean, easy cozy. A 2 table at the window was reserved, but we were kindly invited by the (very nice, flashing and always to a little joker to place us there. The carvings ordered with cooking cheese or carvings (both probably hessian dishes, see photo was fixed and were very, very tasty the dark or natural beer (Engelhardt fits excellent and we were quickly satisfied the whole at the very cheap price is of course worth a RECOMMENDATION! Conclusion: For the (also great hunger right, lies in the very beautiful old town and is worth a visit!
The atmosphere I find a successful mix of modern and old cozy wooden benches, old cabinets and pictures with bright rooms and beautiful wooden floor. Very soothing and exactly my taste. Unfortunately, our order went wrong because it was crazy full (playback time) and the operation seems to be alone. Unfortunately, I can only understand a little if hosts are almost surprised by such predictable events in sleep and do not increase the service and kitchen forces. With us were exchanged inserts, the kiln potatoes were not by (60 minutes waiting time), the steak had the grace of a shoe sole. I'm glad to come back, but I'm sure I'm not in the season. By the way, I can recommend the Schmand Dip with bread as an appetizer mmmmhhhh. I can't say anything about the beer because I'm just not a beer lover.
General goods once again in Bad Hersfeld. It was a year ago. Of course, a visit to the old brewhouse was another one. Luckily, the nice man was back as a service. The beer was excellent again! Operation absolutely top by the nice gentleman who seems to work here for many years. Remarkable, friendly and not imposing. Such employees can only wish an entrepreneur. Food The food was as always excellent and delicious. As with any previous visit, however, the portions for`s money could be somewhat larger, The ambience The ambience in the guest room, where the beer is also presented and the bar is simply cozy. The wooden benches and the beautiful inventory are very welcoming. Cleanliness In cleanliness, nothing negative has been noticed.
Hidden, but the small way from the market at the church is worth it. Delicious beer and suitable hearty dishes. A small Bavarian treasure in Oberhessen...
