Alte Schmiede - Table reservation

There were two people rating here when I came in. As it was not the time of year for tourists to visit Boppard, this came as no surprise. But the girl who was serving me, about 20 years old I guess, was so not interested...in offering service, that I thought instantly 'if you dont like your job, look for another one '. The vegetarian Plate I took, potatoes from the oven with cheese and cream, was pretty simple in that they could 've added broccoli or onions to it, for example (hint for the cook ! . I guess the meat-containing meals are more diverse. Anyway, the food was not bad, but my rating is below average mainly because of the poor service and the mediocrity of the plate I got.

Called in on spec and had a most enjoyable evening meal. Just had the one course of Schnitzel Jager Art which was a beautifully cooked piece of meat absolutely laden with mushrooms in a creamy sauce. A couple of beers and we were well set...for the night. Friendly staff and efficient service. Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The service was good and there was quite a lot to choose from on the menu. The schnitzel with cheese and bacon was great as was the tomato soup. Would recommend a visit here.

Very hungry and needed a meal. We were not disappointed. The staff were great and we soon got served. Food was delicious and piping hot. You can eat inside or out. Good menu and wine list. Enjoy.
