Picture yourself sitting on a sunny day on a terrace in the Swiss Alps, breathing clean mountain air, looking onto the Toblerone-like montain peaks towering over the valley below? brunch you said? coming right up!. A huge platter with an amazing selection of Swiss cheeses and cold cuts. The cute waitress was friendly, courteous and efficient. The food was great and the coffee superb. prices are as high as the mountains, but that is to be expected given the quality of the food and service, and as in Switzerland generally.
We went to Alpina for dinner between Christmas and New Year (booking required) and the experience was perfect on every way. From the service personal which looked after us in a very personal and attentive manner to the food and drinks that were impeccable. They even have a children's playroom, children's menu and are very inviting to all special wishes, fulfilling them in a heartbeat.
Great ambiance; great food; great service. What else can one ask for? I had a green salad which was presented artfully. For the main course, I enjoyed the veal Zurich style with rosti potatoes. Delicious - and filling! Wash that down with a local beer and you couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommended.
