It was originally a noble house in the 1500s, later converted to a hotel. The interior is full of antique wood panels especially the dining room. Bedroom was super comfortable and clean. Had the melanzane parmigiano, polenta with porcini and risotto for dinner all dishes very tasty and nicely presented! Only thing I would add is some swiss wine by the glass only Italian and French available by the glass. Highly recommend the place to anyone who appreciates true timeless quality! All staff were very helpful and the chef truely loves his work! The owner Mayra was very helpful and even offered us to see some antique books belonging to the property! 6 stars from me!
So we found out that the receptionist was actually the owner of hotel the next day. I was going to leave a comment on her friendly service anyway and now I must make a point on her exceptional humble attitude. Room cleaniness is 9 over 10. Besides, our dinner was delightful, we ordered pamigiana di melanzane, porcini with polenta and porcini risotto, all elegantly presented and delicious.
Superb hotel in lovely town Vicosoprano. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Small but clean room, beds are fantastic (especially after a day of long hiking). The dinner is the best that I had in Switzerland with good price in Swiss standard! 120% recommend this one if you want to stay in Vicosoprano!
The Hotel Corona is a beautiful historic building! Friendly staff, and excellent food. I can highly recommend it. The best place to stay in the Bergell.
