Our group of 4 arrived at 6.30pm on a Friday to a near empty restaurant, though within the hour it was full, and when we left around 8.15pm there was a couple waiting to get a seat. We started with the seaweed salad, vegetable gyoza and the fried tofu with miso sauce which was divine. For mains, 3 of our group thoroughly enjoyed the sashimi. They ordered 2 serves @$19.95 each and it was beautifully presented on one platter. I don't like raw fish and the young waitress had trouble understanding that, and couldn't advise me satisfactorily. She recommended a sushi dish which I pointed out to her that it included raw fish. In the end I had the canned tuna sushi which was nice, but I would have preferred something more authentic. We also shared a tempura dish and tried the udon soup. The food was exceptionally good, though the service needs serious attention. We had even asked another waiter to explain a dish to us and he didn't know what it was! We also had to ask for soup spoons for the soup.We will return as the food was so good, but I'd recommend reading the menu before you arrive so if you need to clarify something, you can google it.
