Worth a trip. The food is prepared with love as she says at her door. Very fine Arachosian/Persian cuisine, similar to Northern Indian/Pakistani. Service was wonderful, food was excellent, and the price was definitely reasonable in the DC. We went on Tuesday noon, and it was packed with a bunch of happy faces. A few recommendations? Aushak/Leek and Scallion Knödel. I don't usually eat appetizers, but you don't want to miss their freak. They serve bread and 4 wonderful sauces (yogurt/calander, vinegar/calander, mango and something really spicy), which is worth mentioning. Aracosian Chicken (similar to the Indian Curry) was excellent, and so Boneless chicken cabob (that's what I think of Persian food). I will definitely go back to try her lamb and calf. The restaurant is well lit and has a very nice atmosphere; upscale and beautiful bathroom as well. It is located in a Strip-Mall with a variety of free parking spaces.

Tonight we shared a family dinner for my husband's birthday. We? ve all were never in an Afghan restaurant and were thrilled to try! Boy, we were not disappointed! We were greeted immediately upon admission. I didn't catch the name of the Lord, but you were very kind and gracious with us when we decided what we wanted to eat. We had the Aracosian Lamb Platter, Chicken Lawaan (no photo), Chicken Ground Beef Kabob, and a surprise Cardamom Cake, when we mentioned, we celebrated a birthday! The food was delicious!! Try all sauces with bread. Everyone had its unique taste. We recommend you if you ever have the chance to stop your reservation and enjoy a dinner at this facility.

Simple phenomenal! It is a small and intimate place, and the atmosphere and service is incredible. I'm looking for rice in the DMV area, most similar to rice I had in Afghanistan, and this place is it! The rice with carrots and raisins is fragrant and sweet. The meat was there. While we got the carnivores, most diners had actually been stuffed on the table can to return and try their stews. Very recommended 5/5!

Delicious! We have never tried Afghan food, but decided to have an adventure. It was excellent! Family run. Excellent service and very helpful with menu selection. Small restaurant in a strip mall. Very clean and welcoming. Food was delicious and we will return.
