A Saturday lunch in the dead season just before the snow arrives, yet the cosy main room was full and the sheltered and enclosed outside area almost so. They must be doing something right as we were the only foreigners. The Alps in November so it must be Tartiflette. A single large plate arrived with a bowl of scalding Tartiflette fresh from the oven upon it, and a pile of dressed green salad. The remaining space was filled with both cooked and raw hams accompanied by salami and pickles. A starter to eat while the Tartiflette cools. All pleasant enough. This part of France has some astronomical wine prices so the house white, a VIn de pays from Gard was a pleasant surprise at 18€. It was the cheapest offering and quite adequate for the meal. Decent coffee closed a not adventurous but top end of average meal. I expect to return
We came here at the end of a ski holiday in Courchevel, before an early start on the train home the next morning. It was a busy Saturday night, mostly tourists but also some French groups. We had pizzas, calamari and salads, all of which were tasty and fresh. The house white wine was very drinkable too. The small square on which the restaurant is situated looks lovely too.
We stopped at this restaurant as we were walking in the street and we have been pleasantly surprised by the food (very good) and the staff (friendly and quick to bring food). We enjoyed our time there and I can tell that the other tables were also having a great time. Price is correct, we'll be back.
Friendly and efficient service, good food and excellent value for money. We loved the omelette and the carpaccio, the plat de jour served at another table looked very tempting too. A very enjoyable dinner and highly recommended. Thank you, TripAdvisor, for pointing us in the right direction.
