"One of the few places that isn’t connected to Greene King (we think) but apart from the good keg beer choice, the ladies who served us were both polite and accommodating. Couldn’t fault it."

We visited today, feeling a bit unsettled as regards to the Coronavirus pandemic, but was greeted by 2 very pleasant ladies and made welcome. There was a very nice seating area outside so decided to have our coffees brought to us there. The coffee was excellent, super hot. The music playing in the background was to our liking and made us feel very relaxed in the current unsettled times. The added bonus was the great selection of craft beers and ciders. Toilet facilities were excellent and to a very high standard. We will definitely return and recommend to friends. Well done to the staff and we wish you every success under the current circumstances.

Usually this little place is a gem of friendlyness with wonderful hot chocolates, great beers from the local counties, and a small selection of tasty food. But on occasional evenings they open up for a beer tasting event and they are excellently run, with a beer-maker talking you through a selection of ales, the processes, a bit of history of their brewery and what is planned for the future. Very enjoyable all round!

Down a narrow alley from the market, this bar is a real find. So many real ales, ciders, gins and other drinks, including hot chocolate and coffees. Outdoor seating. Very popular and busy, you may have to wait for a table, but worth it.

We were in Ely to visit the cathedral and came here for an early lunch. Quite well organised re.Covid, but we found the fish rather dry and a little tasteless. A nice place though and we would return to sample something different
